Science and Art Intersect in June and July

June 10 through July 24

The Sol Treasures Gallery presents a Scientific Art Exhibit in collaboration with the Greenfield Community Science Workshop.  According to Sonia Chapa, Founder of Sol Treasures Art and Cultural Center, “The Sol Treasures Scientific Art Exhibit is a collaboration with the Greenfield Community Science Workshop. It shows the important connection between art and science. Studies indicate that participation in the arts for youth contributes to development of critical thinking, problem solving, creative, innovative, social, and cross cultural skills.”  We anticipate adding the science/art connection to our art curriculum in the schools and community centers in the  upcoming  school year beginning fall 2019. Meet the Artist Event on June 14 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. by GCSW Staff with FREE make n/ take activities for youth.
