The Gallery presents Textile Art in March and April, featuring woven, quilted, appliquéd, embroidered, painted, dyed, machine or hand sewn, beaded, knitted. crocheted and more.  

Our artists and artworks include: Katie Mackin’s “upcycled dress” from the 2018 Trashion Fashion Show, Angela Quintana’s dream catchers, Celestina Ripley’s leather wreaths, Barbara Pekema’s quilts, Kenji Tanner’s stunning beadwork, and  Brook Tavernetti’s use of feathers, leather and thread to create nature inspired jewelry.  Listen to Maria Ortega’s fantastic story of how she completed 4 projects within 6 months.  We are also featuring a special piece from Liv Anruud who constructs tactile paintings, slow stitched drawings, or labyrinthine tapestries using a traditional folk method of rag rug hooking. Liv’s work has been shown throughout the United States, Germany, and recently, in Taiwan.  There are many other fascinating pieces to admire and gain inspiration from. 

Meet the Artist Event:  April 5, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Special “Gelli Plate” demonstration by quilt artist Anna Mae Gazo. 

Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m.: Enjoy the outdoor market at Sol Treasures featuring local, handmade, and unique finds. Regional art and crafts. Vendors and artists welcomed.
