Folkloric Hearts with a Twist

Join our instructor & artist, Debra Cobb for this fun class where you get to create some beautiful embroidery hearts and add a twist!
Debra:
“Cultures around the world tell the story of their homeland, community, or ethnic group through their own designs and artistic techniques. Folk Art is a part of their national identity. Often folk art is created by the indigenous people of that area who are not formal artisans. Hearts can represent love, courage, or inner strength. Let’s tell your story by learning how to use felt, wool thread and a simple embroidery technique. You will also learn how to make tassels and use color to make your designs come alive! Different design ideas will be provided, but those attending are welcome to bring their own.”
