Maria Turner is the Operations Manager at Sol Treasures! She is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and develop skills that will last a lifetime! Her passion for helping others began in 2009 when she began working at San Ardo Elementary School. She started working as a paraeducator, then joined the school board and later became an after-school program coordinator. It was during this time that Maria felt truly inspired to bring children together through the arts. Learning what the need was, Maria made several connections with collaborating partners, one of which included Sol Treasures, to take some amazing programs to the students in San Ardo.

While coordinating the after-school program, Maria served a year as the chair of the Head Start Parent Committee where she was motivated to begin her education. It was during this time that Maria enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with The University of Arizona Global Campus. Maria now obtains a bachelor’s degree in Education Studies with a minor in psychology. Maria considers herself a lifelong learner! With the knowledge acquired throughout the years, she has developed many essential skills that have brought her to her current role at Sol Treasures and continue to support education in the arts!
