Meet The Artist- Ivan Garcia

Join us for an exclusive opportunity to meet and engage with Ivan Garcia, an esteemed community photographer known for bringing our community together through captivating images. During this event, Ivan will share insights into his creative process, inspirations, and the stories behind some of his most iconic photographs. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, learn from the artist firsthand, and gain a deeper understanding of the artistry behind each image. We are excited to share that our Sol Performing Strings students will also be showcasing their talent before the Artist talk.

About the Photographer:

“I’m a photographer learning the trade. I picked up a camera in late 2019 because we were attending my oldest daughter’s graduation from UF (go gators!!) and I did not want to take pictures of such an accomplishment with a cell phone camera. I have not put it down since! I really enjoy attending community events and capturing those special candid moments then sharing them with anyone who has the same appreciation for still photography. with practice, I’ve gotten more and more comfortable with a camera and made myself available for photographing private events. I still consider this a hobby, but by no means do I take it lightly. we all have special occasions in our lives that we would love to have captured in order to relive them. being given that responsibility is always an honor and I pour my heart into it as if it was my own family that I am photographing.  

Agenda:

  • Introduction: A brief overview of the event and introduction to the photographer.
  • Artist Talk: Ivan Garcia will discuss his artistic journey, inspirations, and approach to photography.
  • Q&A Session: Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a dialogue with the photographer.
  • Networking and Mingling: Following the formal session, guests are invited to mingle, view the photographer’s portfolio, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.
